Bulletin information
Community principles
A short account of what the Bulletin is for and how it should behave.
Purpose
Natchitoches Parish Bulletin is an independently operated community bulletin board serving Natchitoches Parish. It exists to provide a permanent, trustworthy place for local information, discussion, commerce, events, questions, documents, and community memory.
Order and attention
Information is presented primarily chronologically rather than algorithmically. The Bulletin does not rank residents by popularity and does not use likes, follower counts, or engagement-based feeds.
Conduct and disagreement
Moderation addresses harmful conduct rather than ordinary disagreement. Decisions should be explainable, recorded, and open to correction when a mistake is made.
Source and commercial identity
Resident posts are community submissions, not statements by the Bulletin. Bulletin policy pages are identified as Bulletin information. Future verified-organization announcements and sponsored material must be plainly labeled before those designations are used.
Durability
The interface prioritizes text, speed, accessibility, readability, and durability. The goal is for useful local information posted today to remain useful and discoverable years from now.
